Established |
Cleveland Flying School was established in 1971 at Teesside Airport and has since that time trained over 1000 pilots to the Private Pilots Licence standard. |

CFS has many ex students who have gone on to become Commercial Pilots and are now flying airliners all over the world. |
Location |
The school is situated adjacent to the air traffic control tower and flight briefing office, and the lounge and bar overlooks the main runway of the airport. |
Club Facilities |
The club facilities comprise reception, lounge, bar, restaurant, briefing and lecture rooms. |
Equipment Sales |
We have a shop which sells Air Flight Euipment (AFE), Pooleys, Pilot Shop , flying equipment and accessories. |
Aircraft |
We operate a fleet of aircraft including Cessna 150/152 aircraft which are the prime two seat trainers, a Cessna 172, Piper Warrior four seat touring aircraft, and a Slingby T67B aerobatic training aircraft. We also increase the fleet in the busy summer flying months with other types of aircraft to provide a variety for our students and qualified pilots to try. |

We have very expereinced fully qualified Flying Instructors and also have our own Instructor Examiners. |
Aircraft Hire |
Aircraft hire is actively encouraged and we have a strong base of qualified PPLs regularly using our aircraft for business and pleasure trips. |
Social Events |
The school is very active in promoting both flying and social events, from fly away days, pilots evenings, flight safety evenings, parties, motorcycle and car enthusiast meetings, language classes, Flying group meetings, and any appropriate celebration event. |
